Experience
In addition to being a licensed massage therapist:
I am a runner. Having completed several marathons, as wells as numerous shorter races, I understand first hand the demands of the sport.
I am a healthcare professional. I have worked in a wide variety of settings such as: cancer treatment centers, skilled care, memory care and home health services.
I am an educator. I have taught in traditional classrooms and in less formal settings. I use every sessionas an opportunity to partner with my client to teach them ways to take charge of their continued wellness.
Understanding
Through my involvement in both the direct care of frail elders and the concerns of their family caregivers, I have learned about the special needs of this population. In my training as a massage therapist, I learned how to use massage techniques and nurturing touch to tailor a session just for you or your family member.
